what is the best to buy, PS3, XBox or Wii for family fun?
I am a 60ish young grandad and I am thinking of getting a game thingy for the family for Christmas which one is the best??? The family comprises of Granny, Grandad, Dad & Mam & two Girls, 6 and 3yrs./ old.
DEFINATLY THE WII
advantages of WII:,
the wii is overall good family fun, for all ages with a variety of games to suit the younger members, and some to suit older audiences like yourself.
wii is MUCH cheaper than the other two consoles
wii is generally more reliable, although you should watch how you use the controllers, (360 is VERY unreliable and annoying…)
Wii is small and fashionable ( if it matters)
Disadvantage:
alot of good games require a nunchuk (excluding Wii Sports)as well as a controller, meaning you will have to buy quite a few more controllers + nunchuks
thats all i can think of really. considering your circumstances (big age range in family, and quite a few members), i would definatly consider purchasing the wii, rather than the 360 and ps3
